Welcome to my blog!

Wow! It's been a long haul but I've finally landed my book at home, in CANADA! I'm in the last stages of set-up of the book, website and new publishing home with Friesen Press and looking forward to what fun opportunities are coming!

The book has had a complete overhaul and will be available for purchase very soon! For the past 6 months I've been working with the Friesen Press team to re-design the cover (graphics and synopsis), interior layout and, of course, a TON of edits to clean up the grammar, structure, flow and tone of the manuscript. I think that with the help of my Publishing Specialist, Kaitlynn, we have finished it fabulously (if that's a word, lol) and look forward to the reviews and feedback that will come our way!

With the work on the physical book completed, I'm now on to the website, working with Justin to set up the cyber-face of the book. You'll see changes here over the upcoming weeks as we tweak details; like any project, it's going to take a bit of time to complete as I learn the ins and outs of this new platform. As you can see, I'm learning how to do a blog post here today... I'll write on topics of interest that relate to my book; customer service, hospitality experiences, and my favorite topics of food & wine! Like my book, there will be sarcasm, chuckles and a bit of finger-pointing when deserved. If you poke around the website you'll find that there are links set up to order the book once it has been unleashed to the universe... I encourage you to use the Friesen Press button to support the work of the all-Canadian crew who has had a hand in my book. If you live in CANADA, I also welcome you to email me directly to request a signed copy of my book that I can mail out to you with Canada Post, a $3 CAD postage will be added and I can invoice you directly through Paypal with options to pay via e-transfer or credit card.
